FALL ARRIVES (Unofficially)
How can you tell Fall has arrived?
Well, first you see the leaves begin to turn color, except of course, unless you live in San Diego. Then you might see a few palm frawns strewn around on the ground from the winds that occur in September/October. Next, I always think of Fall when I get the catalogues from Pottery Barn, Pier 1, Macy’s, Nordstrom or the local college reminding me that I could sign up for a Fall extension course. Actually, one year I did. I took Spanish 1, then the following semester, I took Spanish 2, followed by Spanish 3. I’ve taken Spanish 3…..three times. So now when I get the Fall issue to register for classes…I say Nada, por favor.
In San Diego…Fall means Julian Apple Pie. Everyone loves Julian Pie. Julian is this little historic town just about an hour east of San Diego. Each year beginning September 15 for 2 months they have the Annual Julian Fall Apple Harvest. Don’t miss this. Julian is in full color in September/October. Bed and breakfasts are crowded, and the restaurants and shops are bustling. It’s really quite a sight.
Wherever you are I hope your change of seasons is pleasant and reflective. Please remember as most schools begin, there are students walking to school, crossing streets, and getting on and off buses. Be careful as you drive the streets…slow down…as the light of the day changes and it begins to get dark earlier, there’s no place you have to be that’s more important than taking a moment to see if there are kids in your view.
Also, if you are considering purchasing property in La Jolla, Coastal, or downtown condo living, let me help you with your investment.
