SANDAG Board members selected Light Rail Transit Alternative 1, extending the Blue Line from Old Town north to University Towne Center. It will travel east of the I-5, cross over I-5 at Nobel, cross over the east side of I-5 near Voight Drive, head south along Genessee, on to a transit center at UTC. Expect finish in 2015. ADDING QUIET ZONE TO DOWNTOWN
